Subsonic timbres and gurgling textures feature in this week's concert. The Swamp, boasting a quartet of irreverent firebrands from Melbourne's internationally renowned grindcore scene (Die Pigeon Die, Holy Boner, The Kill and Internal Rot, no less), explore the limits of voice-noise and effected density. The debut performance of a new realtime processing/diatonic feedback project from Terry McDermott and Piers Morgan. And Sydney emigre, Milica Stefanovic makes her MIUC solo debut, with extended and abstracted electric bass guitar.

Internal Rot are launching their new 7" out on the illustrious 625 Productions and Crucificados Records and Doubled Over are launching a split 7" with Colorado's Roskopp, not to be confused with the Melbourne band Roskopp who Doubled Over and Internal Rot share members with. If you like things ridiculously fast, preposterously heavy or sickeningly gory this show will give you the kick in the pants you need! Come and get blasted!

Ernie Althoff has been performing experimental music in Melbourne for 33 years. The fact that some of his audience aren't even that old themselves indicates some kind of perseverance and/or survival skillbase that he sees as a good thing! Black Market continues at a new venue with more excellent line-ups. Most of the shows for this month have been "guest-curated", including the 29th which I put together, eyyyyyy. I'm fuggin stoked for this line-up so here's some more info:

Extra mondo ultra-brutal grinding thanks to the other bands we played with, especially our tour-mates Noisear and Shitstorm, who absolutely ripped arse every time they played, and our fellow Aussies in Doubed Over and Internal Rot. Mad holy-fuck-that-was-good thanks to Last Days of Humanity for blowing my balls off at MDF. It was my grind nerd dream come true to see these guys play! I might post more about all this later...
