THE KILL Euro tour

THE KILL just got back from an amazing tour of central/western Europe where we played OBSCENE EXTREME and PLAY FAST OR DON'T fests in Czech Republic, plus a bunch of bloody excellent smaller shows in Czech, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Netherlands & France... including 4 shows with one of my absolute favourite bands of all time - FINAL EXIT from Japan... great blokes and totally ball-tearing on stage, yowser! Cheers dudes!

I was amazed with the strength and passion of the scenes in Europe. All the shows went well, with good turnouts and cool, fun people who love the grindcore! A dream come true! I'd heard people say that we here in Australia could learn a lot from the way Europe does things, and I must agree!

Extremely humongous thanks to Curby/Obscene Extreme and Otto/PFOD for driving us around in their vans, organising stuff, helping us, and answering our endless barrages of stupid uncultured-Aussie questions! Extremely humongous thanks also to everyone who was involved - all the bands we played with, friends/bands/bookers/promoters who organised things for us/lent us gear/showed us around/fed us great food & hooked us up with places to sleep, labels who helped with records & merch, my band-mates Jay & Roby for being brutal dudes, and of course all the grind-lovers who came to watch us play!! FUCKIN' CHEERS MATE!!!!!

I took lots of notes and will start working on a more detailed tour diary soon, to be published in a (web?)zine of some sort in the future for anyone bored enough to wanna read my in-depth analyses of European coffee and pastries heheh

Following a fun vocal recording session at Studio Spasmoslop last week, here's a couple of tracks from Brad's solo noisy goregrind band, with some extra vocals by me!

THE KILL Euro Tour + new album!!

The Kill are going to Europe in July to play Obscene Extreme and Play Fast Or Don't fests in Czech, and do a Euro tour of some description... I don't really even know where else we're going yet but it should be sweeeeeet no doubt! Thanks to Curby OEF and everyone else helping out!
And if everything goes to plan we'll release our 2nd full-length album, on Obscene Productions/Blastasfuk in time for the tour. Heaps of new songs written, I just need to write a novel worth of lyrics for all of it... recording starts soon...

HOLY BONER @ MIUC - 25/03/2014

Expect nothing but aleatoric atrocities at MIUC this Tuesday as three scumcore groupings control sieges of sonic power to demonstrate the potential of extemporisation-as-Divine-Death and redefine the very concept of brutalissimo. First time make-it-uppers Pissbolt smash out of the prison-without-walls known as composed music to suffocate their kvlto thrash in a whirlwind of spontaneously unabated fury and flex their improv instincts of survival. Lo-fi parasites Peter Hyde, Chris Nylstoch and Sean Baxter (aka the heaviest new noisecore trio of 2013) grind past the point of no return in their sophomore blastfest sure to make Multinational Corporation-backed punks crap their dacks. This installment of Make It Up Club is a selection of brutalissimo sound purveyors lurking across thresholds of various soundworlds in the electronic crud-smeared underbelly of Melbourne's DIY noise arena. With a unifying love of suffocating densities and sublime reverberant immersion, Vijay Thillaimuthu's high-ish electrowizardry aesthetic and Nik Kennedy's low-ish scumcore sonic strategy render such descriptive dichotomies utterly irrelevant. Wikipedia defines Nathan Gray as an artistic standard that describes a protocol, digital interface and connectors capable of manipulating a variety of electronic musical instruments, computers and other aleatoric sources into connecting and communicating with one another. And the post-grim powered electronics of Ciarán Geoghegan will be wilfully smashed into the robust industrial-strength ambience borne of Todd Anderson-Kunert's electric assemblage, in a supercollision of extreme frequencies.
