CLOGGED, by CLOGGED tape / DD
Re-Post from RADICAL BLARGHST
Humble thanks to Gonzo Karaoke for that rather insightful review! It really nails what we're going for with this band. Much appreciated!
"Fat throbbing gore riffs, hyper blasting, deranged Drumming, 3 headed roar/shriek/shifted Vocal, a big Noisecore hard-on sporting Goregrind monstrosity, bursting out of a secret lab and consuming scientists whole. Dense, nasty, un-serious, bizarre and brutal." -Gonzo Karaoke '15
Yep, pretty much. Down to the last pile of copies so get on it if you can't be buggered waiting around for the next run of tapes sometime in the new year.

NOISE FLASH @ Botanic Gardens 07/04/2013
the plan:
a large group of noise/experimental audio performers to descend upon melbourne’s botanical gardens for a live daytime performance.
how we plan to get away with it:
the group will perform using battery powered silent intruments (laptops, pedals, circuit bent toys, etc). the audio will be broadcast using radio transmitters.
how the audience will experience the performance:
by bringing along a fm receiver (walkman, transitor radio, anything that recieves FM radio), audience members will tune into the radio signal. performers will be set up along a pre-plannmed route. by walking along the performance route, each audience member will dictate their own experience by the speed of their journey and physical location.
The artists:
Jessica Anderson-Kunert
Todd Anderson-Kunert
Ben Byrne
Bleach Boys
Theorn Campbell of Pushing Buttonz
Circuitree
cleaninglady
Richie Cyngler
Byron Dean
Dotabata
Tim Farrell
Galway
Nat Grant
Rosalind Hall
G W Harris

Philip Samartzis

Smash Tennis

DISCOBEANS MONDAY - 6th June 2011
Another ripsnorter line-up, if I do say so myself. Can't wait to see Discobeans godmother Yuka's new duo collab with Mel Toxic Lipstick, and James Rushford/Jess Pinney/Simon Hanselmann's Tight Passage. "Sludgy Psych Shit" according to James. Bonza.
Couldn't be happier with how this series has been going so far. Thanks heaps to everyone that has played and attended these gigs! Onward!

FUCKED @ The Tote 20/03/11
"Many in Melbourne first witnessed the power of Defektro Live at KTL (Featuring Stephen O'Malley of SUNN O))) in June 2008. And it has been a long long wait for his return.
In the time between, "Metal_And_Bone_Servitude", a studio collaboration between Defektro and The Bastard Noise was released, selling out almost instantly and becoming a cult hit with lovers of noise worldwide.
Formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1995 as a three piece industrial/noise unit, Defektro is currently the one man operation of Hirofumi Uchino and based in Sydney.
Hirofumi is known and respected worldwide as much for the instruments and effects pedals he builds as the extreme forms of music he creates with them.
Live performances from this truly unique artist are all too rare. It is with great honour that WeEmptyRooms is able to present this event with such a quality lineup at one of Melbourne's greatest live venues.
Also WeEmptyRooms will be doing some killer deals on all label stock and distro at the mercy desk so vinyl lovers bring ya dosh."

RCKTSRGRY @ Make It Up Club - 15/03/11
Breath and the occult art of the ancient XYZ coordinate radiomap feature in this week's concert. Sydney voice artist Tony Osborne returns with his extended, jumbled and reconfigured explorations of the possibilities of vocal enunciation and (in)communicative action. RCKTSRGRY make a rare appearance that expands the limits of the space/time/sound intra-dimension. And the raw power of really smooth screeching/howling by local voice-master, Shane Van Den Akker.
• MADHEAD AKA Tony Osborne (Syd) (solo vocals and electronics)
• RCKTSRGRY featuring Nik Kennedy (adapted instruments and electronics) and Tina Douglas (hacked'n'cracked wiimote)
• Shane Van Den Akker (voice)

Discobeans March!
Discobeans monthly gig #2!! This one is looking like a cracker with another nice varied line-up. I think this will be the 2nd Ove-Naxx show since he moved to Melbourne from Osaka, and I'm especially stoked to finally see Liam Haryono's (from Psychward Cult / Pathetic Human / Flesh World etc) Tea & Sympathy Symphony solo project for the first time.
The February gig was really great - big turnout and very solid performances all round. Thanks to everyone that came down. I took this crappy pic of Clickjaw's set on my phone:
Laptops/Nintendo Wii controller/interactive visuals/voice combo was intense and had the audience completely entranced, especially during the squirm-inducing webcam transfusion finale which left everyone speechless and in a gloriously uncomfortable silence when the set ended. A magic moment!
